Only I could get a Voyager to make more noise than a 56 but here we are at the thrash hot spot at Bescot to see 56094 very sedately depart for Bootle Jn on the 6C92 on 25.05.24 with 56096 bringing up the rear. 37409 passes Tame Bridge with the 5Z26 Crewe to Kidderminster stock move for the SVR Diesel Gala on 13.05.24. After that we see a working from the previous day of 97302 creeping out of Wolverhampton on the 6C77 Welshpool to Bescot which I chose to get here as I was in that area and it was better than nothing and not bad considering I didnt plan to go for either lol

After a busy day getting chores done I took a stroll down Bescot to see 97304 depart on the 6C77 to Welshpool with a rake of cwr, makes a nice change from the usual autoballasters on 11.05.24. 97302 brings up the rear.

I had a spare half hour on the morning of the 08.05.24 so thought I would pop down Tame Bridge to potentially see two Class 37 moves pass there one after another. At one point the race was on to see whether 37608 on the 5Q65 Old Dalby to Soho move would arrive first or 37667 on the 0Z45 Crewe to Birmingham International. Nice bit of EE thrash as long as you can cope with Thomas the Tank colours, first we see Orange 37405 lifting the 6C42 out of Bescot en route to Central Wales with another few tonnes of ballast while after that earlier in the day there was the 6C41 empties returning to Bescot from the night before seen at Portobello with Yellow 97304 up front all on 01.05.24.

The old rail is most likely part of the sidings serving "Grand Junction Works" which was on that site, I think. It's visible on the 1892-1914 25 inch OS map.

One of the best clips ever! When you can hear them coming from such a long way away, and then building up, and then gone. Reminds of listening to them coming down the Taff valley into Cardiff at night, hauling coal from Hirwaun down to Aberthaw B power station.
